Deskjet 2622

Hi there, I have just purchased a Deskjet 2622 and on set up (wifi) have had repeated E3 error. I have followed all the suggested guidance for removing potential jams etc despite never actually having used it yet. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software and still it persists. On checking calibration it gives an error ' Cartridge carriage stalled' I've checked if there is any tape and/cardboard that I hadn't removed - nothing. Checked the cartridges and reinstalled, moved the carriage to both sides (moves freely). More worryingly is that when its restarts, the carriage smashes into the side of the machine. Is it just a duff one or is there anything else I can try? Any advice most welcome. Thanks

Dear Rani5,

It seems that you may have a hardware issue with your printer, as you have completed most of the necessary steps for a carriage jam. I would suggest watching this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V6AYisqyhqg just to compare how the cartridge and carriage look in the video to what your printer looks like. Then, I would recommend contacting HP Support to see if your printer still has its limited warranty. You can find information about contacting HP here: https://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/contact.html

Have a nice day!

Evan
