I am enrolled with HP Instant ink and installed a new colour cartridge, sent by HP for my HP Deskjet 4122 as the colour ink was running low. The printer generates the following error for the colour cartridge: “The indicated cartridges are not communicating correctly with the printer. It the problem persists, replace the cartridges.”
When I re-installed the existing colour cartridge (the setup one, which came with the printer when I purchased it in July), the communication error clears. I have tried re-installing the new colour cartridge many times, powered the printer on/off, checked and cleaned the electrical contacts on the new cartridge etc. etc. but none of these interventions work. I have also tried using the Virtual Agent, which is almost useless. Also tried contacting a Live Agent and still waiting...
Any help appreciated as the printer is now unable to print - he one job it needs to do!!
