I am absolutely disgusted by HP Instant Ink for shutting down the printer with no discernible reason communicated. I discovered that the Credit Card needed updating and they basically shut down the printer and kept me form printing because of that. That has to be the most communist business practice of any US company I have ever seen. It's like having your business held hostage. Rather than get in touch via phone and explain the issue they just shut off the printer, without expansion or a way to understand the reason. Then it took me an hour to get it resolved by barely understandable reps.

Sorry for your experience, but it is your responsibility to keep your billing current with HP. From Section 7.vii of the terms of service:
In the event that HP is unable to collect payment from Your Payment Method at the time payment becomes due, HP may temporarily cease your access to the Service, and the Subscription Cartridges will stop functioning, until payment can be collected; if HP is unable to collect payment from You, HP will cancel Your Service and terminate this Agreement pursuant to Section 9 (“Cancellation”).
I am not an employee of HP, I am a volunteer posting here on my own time.
