Hi, I am struggling with the last step of the enrolment to instant ink. I open the app on my phone select the printer and then click on the instant ink button but I am then just redirected to the HP store where I can buy the toner cartridges? Is this correct and if so what do I do then. HP's virtual assitant has me going round in circles..
thanks

Hi @Owendthomas,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It seems like there might be an issue with the Instant Ink enrollment process, and I understand your frustration. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and hopefully resolve the issue.
- Ensure Printer Compatibility: Make sure that your HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M283fdw is compatible with the HP Instant Ink service. Not all printers support Instant Ink, so it's important to check the compatibility.
- Check Network Connection: Ensure that your printer is connected to the internet. A stable internet connection is necessary for the Instant Ink enrollment process.
- Update Printer Firmware: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer. Sometimes, updating the printer's firmware can resolve compatibility issues.
- Use a Computer: Instead of using the mobile app, try accessing the Instant Ink enrollment process from a computer. Go to the HP Instant Ink website (instantink.hpconnected.com) and log in with your HP account. Follow the enrollment steps from there.
- Clear Browser Cache: If you are using a computer, clear your browser's cache and try again. Sometimes, cached data can cause issues with the enrollment process.
- Manual Enrollment: As a last resort, you can manually enroll in the Instant Ink program by visiting the Instant Ink website and following the enrollment steps there. You may need to enter your printer's information manually.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
