My product name is: HP Envy Photo 7855.
It is a wireless internet connection
The blue light is on and shows it is connected
The HP app on my iPhone shows no connection errors.
However, when I click on “Insant Ink Get supplies,” it automatically brings up an internet page. That page shows an error saying, “To print with Instant Ink cartridges, you’ll need to connect your printer to the internet via Wi-Fi or ethernet.” As I said, it is already connected.
I have tried unplugging the power cord from the back and from the outlet. Waiting 60 seconds, then plugging directly into the outlet and then back into the printer. It comes back on just fine. The blue internet icon shows that it is connected.
I have tried removing Web Services and reconnecting it. Everything looks good.
Still, shows connectivity issues when logged into the hp ink website. I really need to get more ink ASAP, but I can’t seem to fix the issue and I can’t find a way to contact them directly to get more ink and fix the connection issue.
Your help is greatly appreciated!

Hi @bblack4jc,

I understand that your HP Envy Photo 7855 printer shows as connected to Wi-Fi (blue light on, no errors in the HP Smart app), but the Instant Ink service is not recognizing the connection and prevents you from getting supplies. You’ve already tried restarting the printer, unplugging power, and reconnecting Web Services, but the issue persists. Let’s work through this together:
Restart Router & Printer Together
Power off your router and printer.
Wait 60 seconds, then power on the router first.
After the Wi-Fi is fully active, turn the printer back on.
Check Printer Connection to HP Servers
On the printer control panel, go to Setup > Web Services > Print Info Page.
See if the printer is connected to HP ePrint servers.
If not, remove and re-enable Web Services again.
Check for Firmware Updates
On the printer, navigate to Setup > Printer Maintenance > Update the Printer.
Install any available updates. This often resolves Instant Ink connectivity issues.
Re-add Printer in HP Smart App
Remove the printer from the HP Smart app.
Re-add it by signing in with your HP account and following the setup prompts.
Make sure to log in with the same account used for Instant Ink.
Verify HP Account & Address
Go to the HP Instant Ink Dashboard.
Log in and check if your printer shows as online.
Confirm your shipping address is correct so ink can be delivered.
I hope this helps.
