You can just use 63/302 ink cartridges because different cartridges numbers for the same printer model are regionalized for a different region of the world. You need to chose what ink cartridge # you need according to your current location on the globe.
If your printer used 63 ink cartridges then you must continue to use 63 ink cartridges if you have moved to another part of the world, and 63 are unavailable, then you need to use 302 inks and regionalize printer to accept 302 ink cartridges.
You cant combine 63 and 302 at the same time.

I have not moved house or country since this problem, nothing has changed. The number on top of the cartridge literally says 63/302 just as the same as the empty one that ran out of ink.
What is wrong please?

If you are using a non-original cartridge that might be the problem. You can ask for a replacement from the seller if you still have proof of purchase.
Original HP ink cartridges can have 63 or 302 number on them, but not both, as far as I know.

Me too...... Suddenly found "Remove and reinstall indicated (?) ink cartridge, " $29 store bought cartridge works but not instant ink anymore. Cannot find any help. Spent hours on this. Any recommendations or just buy another printer. Suggestions welcome
