HP DeskJet 2724 All-in-One Printer

I was sent a new printer to replace my broken Deskjet 2724 all-in-one printer. I added this new printer into my HP smart app which went very easy last set-up. Now I’ve been struggling for days not getting my printer to print.

It’s registered in the HP Smart app, it has a wireless connection but I still need to claim the printercode to get the ink program to work and get my printer to print.

nowhere can I find the HP E-print button (HP DeskJet 2724) not a way to obtain the code.

When I try to print via my iPhone after : print with HP smart, the printing button stays grey, not blue which you need to print.

when I give the instruction via IPhone just to ‘print’, the button is blue, I press it and I get a notification ‘printer is busy’. Which is not the case.

the i (information) icon is red all the time. As well as a red sign with the icon for cartridges.

I assume the problem can be solved once I enroll my printer with the printer code. But this is impossible for me so far.

anyone….?

Hi @Sieger2,

Welcome to the HP Support Community

I'd like to help!

I understand you are unable to enroll in instant ink .

To assist better - Are you using HP instant ink cartridges?

After enabling Web Services by pressing the HP ePrint icon on your control panel display, a Printer Info Page prints. Find the claim code on the bottom half of the sheet. If the page only features an @hpeprint.com email address, see The printer info page printed with no claim code, only an @hpeprint.com email address.

NOTE:

If you have an HP+ printer, you do not need the Printer Claim Code. Your printer is automatically claimed to your account during the setup. Go to 123.hp.com to download the HP Smart app, and then set up your printer.

Also, refer to -Having Trouble Claiming Your Printer?

Please send us a private message with your Instant Ink account details or you may also respond to the private message I've sent out and I'll help you out, accordingly. Check next to your profile name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the reply! I already managed to get the Printercode (dispite not having an eprintbotton😉) and was on the line for 40 minutes with HP and Instant Ink. There seems to be a technical default in my completely new printer, since it doesn’t do what it should do after resetting the entire printer.

might have to send it back, since the setup with the exact same printer went extremely easy last time.

there keeps being a problem with the cartridges. Even after going through all the steps again and putting in new ones. It’s quite a pain in the … with all the trouble and time I put in it.

BUT THANK YOU!!
