I am trying to set up my new,Envy 6120e printer but keep getting error code

EBS00P0007 on HP smart set up. I cannot get past this. My printer is set up to the wifi and I do not know what else to do to be able to print. Unfortunately I am not very tech savvy.

Hi @CazzaWillo,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

The EBS00P0007 error during setup of your HP Envy 6120e printer in the HP Smart app typically points to a setup or registration issue, often related to: Incomplete printer initialization, Network connectivity hiccups or HP account sync problems.

Here’s how to fix it step by step:
1. Update the HP Smart App

Make sure you’re using the latest version:

2. Reset the Printer to Factory Defaults

This clears any stuck setup state:

  1. On the printer control panel, press and hold the Cancel (X) and Wireless buttons together for 5 seconds.
  2. Wait for the printer to restart and re-enter Wi-Fi setup mode (light should blink blue).

3. Reboot Everything

  • Turn off your printerrouter, and computer/phone.
  • Wait 30 seconds, then turn them all back on.

4. Reattempt Setup

  1. Open the HP Smart app.
  2. Click “Add Printer” and follow the steps.
  3. When prompted, sign in to your HP account and complete the claim process.

I hope this helps.

Take care, and have an amazing day!
