My printer was printing fine yesterday, now today, I have an error message saying that my ink cartridges are shop bought and not instant ink ones, the printer won't print now.

 

They are the HP instant ink cartridges that get delivered to me, I don't use any other ink cartridges and definitely haven't bought any from a shop.

 

I have tried all other avenues for support and I am getting increasingly frustrated because I can't get to the bottom of the issue. 

 

Any advice and tips would be very much appreciated!

@delightell, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

 

I understand you are not able to print due to this error.

Insert one ink cartridge at a time and try printing to identify the defective ink cartridge.

Restart the wireless router and the printer. Make sure the printer is connected to the internet.

If the printer is not connected to the internet, Instant Ink services may be disrupted.

 

Have you checked your HP Instant Ink account page? Your Instant Ink account page will have notifications if there are any issues with the account or recent cartridge shipment, it will even provide solutions on how to fix the issue. You may log in to your HP Instant Ink account page from here.

 

If the suggested information can't be found, please send me a private message with your Instant Ink account details or you may also respond to the private message I've sent out and I'll help you out, accordingly. Check next to your profile name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.
