I purchased this last Friday, largely on the Free 1 year extra warranty and 6 months Instant Ink Trial, from Argos, a huge, well known retailer in the UK. I registered and only got 3 months. I have tried calling HP+ support, we have no other contact. All I get "Owing to emergency proceedures we cannot take your call, please try another time." I work and can call at about 8am when they say they are open. What can I do? no one to email, no chat and no one to speak to on single phone number.

A software update solved the issue, it prompted me for the serial number again, then offered me HP+ and 2 days later it shows the extra warranty.

Thanks for your help and time, appreciated.

I spoke to a very helpful person, sorted Ink out staright away, couldn't sort the warranty as they had to send me another printer, ridiculous. Not the helpdesk persons fault. Is there another way of getting the warranty added without sending me another new printer to waste.

In so much that I am aware,

The only way to receive the six months Instant Ink trial through HP+ is to opt into - and register the printer with - HP+ service.

The extra year Warranty is another of the benefits of HP+ service.

That you cannot sign up for HP+ is a snag, of course.

We do not have any access to the Concierge service and when / whether they can answer contact requests.

That said, I will forward a request for Review by our moderators.

A new printer will not likely fix this type of issue -

HP+ is a service - the printer is HP+ compatible - the hardware is not different if you don't have HP+.

Hi Dragon-Fur,

Many thanks, I looked on here before buying and I saw issues with the ink, but they had (and have) been solved easily. I followed the instructions and I honestly never saw a popup (I have no pop up blocker) and it was the only window open.

Thanks for all your help
