Free cartridges?

Are the cartridges free? When you sign up, you get cartridges. When they have to be replaced, are you charged for them? I signed up for the free plan.

Are the cartridges free? Yes, HP Instant Ink plan fees are based on the number of pages that you print, not on how many ink cartridges you use.
