Genuine brand new cartridge not recognized HP ENVY 5640

Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I just bought a new color cartridge for the above printer, but the printer wont recognize it - it is NOT a copy product, it is a genuine (very expensive) HP product.

 

I have another cartridge, exact same type that works just fine, but it is almost empty. Which is, tada, why a bought a new one.

 

If you tell me that i'm unable to get support because my printer warranty is expirted,  then I will explode immediatly, this is not the printer but the cartridge that does not work.

 

And shame on you for making it almost impossible to get real help

@MichaelNielsen, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

I understand you are not able to print due to this error. Make sure you have tried the steps mentioned in this document - HP Printer Does not Print and Error Indicates Faulty Ink Cartridge

 

This printer supports printing in single-cartridge mode. Insert one ink cartridge at a time to identify the defective ink cartridge.

Please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region regarding the replacement options for the ink cartridge. 

You may create a case on the website to obtain a case number if required. Kindly watch this video to know how.
