Hi @trosa16,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I understand that you've upgraded to a new printer and are trying to remove the old printer from your HP account. You've already cancelled HP Instant Ink, but when you try to remove the printer, you're being directed back to cancel Instant Ink again.
Please follow these steps:
- Sign in to your HP Instant Ink account using the same HP account associated with the old printer. You can access your account through the HP Instant Ink - Accounts, plans & billing | HP® Support.
- Select Overview, then Printer Details under the Status area, and verify that you've selected the correct old printer and Serial Number.
- Select HP Instant Ink > Update Plan, then scroll to Plan Details and verify the cancellation status. These are the account areas HP specifies for managing and cancelling an Instant Ink subscription.
- If you've already cancelled, check for the cancellation confirmation email from HP. HP sends a confirmation when cancellation is completed and another at the end of the billing cycle.
- Please note that cancelling Instant Ink normally requires you to finish the current billing cycle. You can continue using your Instant Ink cartridges through that billing cycle, and the final charge is made at the end of the cycle. After the billing cycle ends, Instant Ink cartridges must be replaced with regular cartridges if you continue using that printer.
If the subscription has already reached the end of its billing cycle and the account still sends you back to the cancellation page when you try to remove the old printer, please do not attempt to cancel it again.
At that point, this would need to be reviewed through HP Instant Ink Support, because the issue concerns the printer's Instant Ink/account association. HP provides dedicated assistance for Instant Ink account and printer-connection issues.
Please do not post your printer Serial Number or HP account information publicly in the Community.
Take care and have a good day.
I'm an HP Employee.
