Greetins!
I recently purchased a brand new HP 12c gold. As per Brazil default, we always use “.” as thousands separator and “,” as decimal separator. Example: 123.456,78 instead of 123,456.78 (even HP brazilian portuguese manual and user guide use this standard).
When trying to change it as user guide nothing happens. (Holding “.” then pressing ON). It works fine on an older model I have.
I also noticed it shows “Error 5” when n <1.
For example:
I’m trying to convert a monthly rate of 5% to an annual rate (compound interest).
“100” CHS PV
“105” FV
“12” 1/x (0.0833) n
When I press “i” for the annual interest I get “Error 5”.
If I do these steps on the older model I get 79,5856 (79.5856 on US standard). So a 79% annual interest.
Can anyone help me, please?
Thanks in advance!
