HP ENVY 4500 e-All-in-One Printer

My printer is used and previous owner had Instant Ink account.  My printer keeps getting an instant ink error saying it cannot print.  I have created an HP account but cannot create an Instant Print account...I have tried a dozen times!  I am assuming the previous owner did not remove this device from their account.  I have already factory reset the printer, but that doesn't help.  How can I finally get clear of this error message so I can print? Otherwise, I'm trashing the printer and getting an Epson!
