HP ENVY 4524 All-in-One Printer

Hello! I have had an HP Envy 4524 for several years, which has been working well. I have always used Instant Ink cartridges supplied by HP.   It has started repeatedly locking up with and error message asking me to take out and reinsert the cartridges indicated, but it doesn’t actually indicate which one, so obviously I’ve done both. It seems to reset itself, but two or three normal prints later, it happens again.  A couple of auto generated emails from HP have suggested that I am using non HP cartridges, which isn’t true. It happens whether we are using my iPad, my Wife’s iPad, or our Windows 10 laptop. Can anyone help? Thank you!

I did send you a private message as a reply to your questions, but have heard nothing more. Are we any further on with trying to sort out my problem? Do you think a new colour cartridge (I’ve worked out it is the colour cartridge, by scrolling down the printer display error message screen to see the three dots in a triangular shape….) would sort it out?
