Hello,

 

I have a brand new HP Envy 5055 printer and 65 tri-color and black cartridges. When trying to set up the printer there is a reoccurring "Cartridge Problem" message that says to remove and reinstall the cartridges. I have cleaned the copper electrical strips on the cartridges as well as the electrical contacts in the carriage per website instructions. I have also updated the firmware and rebooted the printer. What else can be done to fix this issue? Can I receive new ink cartridges? I'm not sure that would solve the problem since both are brand new.

If you have already performed the steps from the document Error Indicates Faulty Ink Cartridge and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.

Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.

 

If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.
