I have bought this machine during the last week.   It is on the same reseau as my computer.   I cannot register the printer and the virtual agent gave up on me saying I was being transferred to talk to a human, which didn't happen.  I still  want to register the printer with HP via the normal route, but is unavailable to me.   I have owned numerous HP printers and used Instant Ink with great success over a number of years.   I get the following error code...... ERROR CODE OW-4XX-OWSWS0001.   Can anyone advise me what to do...... I am thinking of binning the new printer as HP are so unhelpful.

Hi @Neil12341,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

I understand your frustration. The error code you're encountering seems to be related to problems with the HP app and printer registration. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue.

  • Check Internet Connection: Ensure that your printer is connected to the internet and that your internet connection is stable. A poor or unstable connection can cause registration issues.
  • Update HP App: Make sure you have the latest version of the HP app installed on your device. Check for updates in the app store on your Windows or Android device and update if necessary.
  • Reinstall HP App: If updating doesn't work, try uninstalling and reinstalling the HP app. This can resolve any potential software glitches.
  • Reset Printer Network Settings: On your printer, navigate to the network settings and perform a network reset. This will clear any existing network configurations and allow you to set up the connection again.
  • Factory Reset Printer: As a last resort, you may consider performing a factory reset on your printer. Be aware that this will erase all custom settings on your printer, including wireless credentials and customized settings.

I hope this helps

Take care and have an amazing day ahead! 🚀

Best regards,
