HP ENVY Photo 7855 All-in-One Printer

A friend has my old HP Envy 7855 but it still shows on my account. She cannot change any settings such as printer email address or remove my email from the printer settings. Her instant  ink information shows on my account. I have an email from HP that it was removed from my account.

Hi @BDK-Hawaii,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your old HP Envy 7855 is still showing on your HP account and causing issues with printer settings and Instant Ink information, here’s a step-by-step guide to resolve the problem:

Steps to Resolve Printer Account Issues

1. Confirm Printer Removal

Verify Removal Status:

  • Ensure that the printer is indeed removed from your account by checking the HP Smart app or HP Connected website:
    • HP Smart app: Open the app and navigate to the Printers section. Confirm that the printer is no longer listed.
    • HP Connected website: Go to the HP Connected website and log in to check if the printer is still registered under your account.

Check Printer Status:

  • On your HP Envy 7855, print a configuration page or check the printer’s display to confirm its current network and account settings.

2. Remove Printer from HP Account

Remove via HP Smart App:

  • Open the HP Smart app on your device.
  • Select the printer in question.
  • Go to Printer Settings or Manage Printer and look for an option to Remove Printer or Forget Printer.

Remove via HP Connected Website:

  • Log in to your account on the HP Connected website.
  • Navigate to the Printers section.
  • Find the old printer and select the option to Remove Printer or Delete Printer.

3. Resolve Instant Ink Issues

Check Instant Ink Account:

  • Log in to your HP Instant Ink account and ensure the old printer is no longer listed under your devices.
  • If it is still listed, try to remove it through the Instant Ink dashboard.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
