HP Officejet all in one 8040
Microsoft Windows 10 in S Mode

I have been an HP consumer for a very long time and signed up for instant ink.  I guess the email informing me that my HP 8040  printer would no longer be supported by the program went to spam.  I missed it.  About 3 weeks ago I started having problems connecting.  After calling numerous times, being kept on hold for hours, speaking to tech guys who don't know what they are doing, slowly each device in my home lost the ability to print, on a perfectly good printer that copies, faxes, scans but NOW won't print.

After going through numerpus reboots,  I finally got someone who told me it was because of this Instant ST-INK development that I was having a problem and that all I have to do is just buy my own cartridges and the printer will work---oh no it doesn't!! After another two hours this morning as my call was dropped, transferred around, etc I was told, the solution to my problem was just to buy a new computer--oh is that all!!!!  Its a pandemic, I have lost my job, and now have NO ACCESS to a printer although it works.  I have a number of new unopened instant ink cartridges that can't be used and I have wasted money, buying new ink cartridges.  HP this is a terrible policy.  I vow NEVER to buy another HP product again and give all my business to one of your competitors unless you make good on this unethical business practice.  Nothing like Stinky ink and guaranteed obsolescence....
