Hi

I currently have a HP Instant Ink Subscription which i have been using for about 3 years, dispite being at a low price tier, i have probably over paid for what i print. I scan more than i print.

So my questions are for my HP Envy Inspire 7924e Printer:

  1. Can I use normal cartridges and if yes which ones would I need in the UK?
  2. Would HP have locked down my printer so that I can only use a subscription?
  3. Can I use third party cartridges from known suppliers?

Regards

1. Once you cancel your ink subscription, you must use store-purchased ink cartridges, HP 303

2. No, why would they do that? It's better for them if you buy original ink cartridges from HP. They make money on selling ink cartridges, not selling printers.

3. Depending on the printer's firmware, HP printers can use only genuine HP ink cartridges.
