Hoping someone can help.  I rejoined Instant Ink yesterday because my printer would not allow me to print, and for some insane reason my account is telling me that I printed 166 pages yesterday.  I didn't.  I can't get through to anyone sensible at HP and my bill is currently showing as £30.  Can anyone help?

Just rechecked the account.  Now it's telling me that I've printed 216 pages!  What is going on!

--  For others reading -- Review --

  • Instant Ink is an optional Print-by-Page subscription.
  • Ink is included (only) while the subscription is active.
  • When the subscription service is cancelled / terminated, the Instant Ink cartridges stop working.  This is normal.
  • When that happens, the usual solution is to remove all the Instant Ink cartridges from the printer and replace them with a newly purchased set of HP ink cartridges.

OK - a raging page count on a new / renewed subscription sounds odd.

You will need to speak with an HP someone who can access your private account information.

I'm cringing a bit over "sensible" --

My hope is that Instant Ink Support can certainly sort whatever is wrong, including adjusting your account page count and any charges.

Instant Ink support is what they do, after all.

As an alternate method, you can wait here for a Community agent to find and respond to your plea.

Thanks!  I will try again tomorrow.

I think for the future I will cancel my subscription and just buy the cartridges. That feels much simpler.

just to clarify, by sensible I meant not the AI which sent me round in circles on the chat function and then didn’t offer any solution!  No offence meant (except perhaps to AI!)

Cheers

You are welcome.

AI is firmly entrenched in our present and in our future.

And yes, at least for now, AI behavior can be cringe worthy
