What in the world is HP thinking with its Instant Ink program?   Instant Ink continues to send me ink cartridges regardless of the amount I use.  I now have two extra full months' worth of Ink supplies.  But at the same time, Instant Ink keeps charging me for printing extra pages beyond my plan.  It took two weeks to receive regular ink cartridges (purchased full-price outright) so that I can cancel Instant Ink -- two weeks instead of the 1-3 day shipping previously experienced and still advertised by HP!  Finally I have officially quit Instant Ink, but must stay a member until  August 2 (ten long days).  Meanwhile this morning I received a notice that I will be paying during that time for extra pages!   What extra pages?  I am not using your paper.  I have already paid for the ink.  I paid in full for the printer!!!

@SAN1689, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

I’m really sorry for the frustration you've been experiencing with Instant Ink. It’s clear that this isn’t working as it should, and I want to help make things right.

Here’s what I think might be going on:

Extra Ink Cartridges: Sometimes, the system sends extra ink to make sure you don't run out, even if you haven’t been using much. I totally get why that’s annoying, especially if you don’t need them.

Charges for Extra Pages: Instant Ink charges for extra pages printed beyond your plan. I suggest you refer to this guide: Instant Ink account management | HP® Support

Delay in Regular Ink: It’s unfortunate that this happened, and I understand how frustrating it must have been. There might have been some issues causing the delay, but this should not have occurred.

Thanks for the feedback! Is there anything else you need help with?

Take care and have a good day.

The fact that HP will deactivate ink cartridges if the subscription is cancelled is truly diabolical. Of course, they never mention this ANYWHERE when signing up. This is such a waste of materials and so bad for the environment on top of it. The greed from this company is disturbing.
