ENVY Inspire 7200e
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an ENVY Inspire 7200e printer which I bought when I lived in the UK. It was enrolled with Instant Ink there and it all worked fine. I recently moved to another country and followed the instructions on Instant Ink FAQ. I cancelled my Instant Ink plan, removed the printer and deleted my HP account. I then opened a new HP account in my current country. Changed the region in the printer settings and added it to my new account. When I try to sign up to Instant Ink again, it still shows prices in £ and only allows UK delivery address. So now I can't print as the cartridges are for Instant Ink and I'm unable to sign back up again.

Hi @VHuugen

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like a frustrating situation with your HP Instant Ink subscription. Here are a few steps you can try to resolve the issue:

Check Printer Region Settings: Make sure the printer's region settings are set correctly. Sometimes the printer may still retain settings from the previous region, which can affect account linking.

If the issue persists, I recommend reaching out to our phone support for further assistance.

1. Click on this link -  https://support.hp.com/us-en

2. Select the country.

3. Enter the serial number of your device.

4. Select the country from the drop-down.

5. Click on "Show Options".

6. Fill out the web form. A case number and phone number will now populate for you.

Please feel free to contact us here anytime you need any further assistance.

Have a great day!

Thank you for responding Rachel571.

The region in the printer setting is changed to my current country, but that doesn't make a difference to InstantInk issue. I did contact phone support and they asked me to take the printer to a HP repair shop for "regionalization". So I found an official repair shop from the HP site. I took the printer there and they weren't interested. They just asked me to scrap it and buy a new printer. It's not even 2 years old. The FAQ about InstantInk and how you can just change from one region to another is misleading. Had I known that, I would have sold the printer in the UK and not take it with me. So at the moment I'm looking for a new printer, but it won't ever be HP again.
