Had internet interruption. Now printer has symbol that I am no longer connected to my HP Instant Ink.

What is the solution to fix.

Apologies for the inconvenience—this issue seems to occur when the printer loses its connection to HP Instant Ink after an internet disruption. Here are some steps to restore the connection:

 

Check Network Connection

  • Ensure the printer is connected to Wi-Fi.
  • Print a Network Configuration Page from the printer’s menu to verify connectivity.

Restart Devices

  • Power off the printer and unplug it for 60 seconds, then turn it back on.
  • Restart your router and computer as well.

Reconnect to HP Instant Ink

  • Open the HP Smart app and check the printer’s status.
  • If disconnected, follow the prompts to reconnect.

Update Printer Firmware

  • HP regularly releases firmware updates that can fix Instant Ink issues.
  • Follow this link for detailed instructions on updating your printer firmware.

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor (For Windows Users)

  • Download and run HP Print and Scan Doctor to diagnose connection problems.
  • Get it here.

Reset the Printer

  • If the issue persists, reset the printer to factory settings and set it up again.
