HP Photosmart 5520 e-All-in-One Printer - CX042B

Hi All,

I bought a HP Printer in London and now returned to India. Now I am facing a big difficulty in getting the compatible Ink cartridges. Not at all finding a place or location where the ink can be purchased. Thinking to sell the printer and buy new one for exchange but that is also not looks simple. Can someone help me what should I do with my printer or where can I buy compatible ink for my printer. Below are the product details. I had purchased this printer on December 2014.

Product Name: HP Photosmart 5520 e-All-in-One Printer

Bought in : United Kingdom, London

Present location: Bengaluru. India

The cartridges that work in India are the HP 862 ink cartridges. Once you have the ink cartridges, we need to perform a regional reset on the printer to resolve this issue. 

 

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device. 

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.

Hello,

Great, first of all happy to see a response. Let me give it a try and then respond back if the issue is resolved or not.

I  am little bit worried about purchasing the ink. If after resetting the printer the ink I buy HP 862 will not work I will waste money. Do you see any alternative to this just to ensure that this model of Ink cartridge will not be wasted in case the issue not resolved? Meantime I will try to reset the printer as per your instructions.
