My HP Envy Inspire 7958e quit printing a couple days ago from my computer. I can print a test page from the printer. I noticed that my HP Smart app is just blank, so I logged into my HP account, and it shows the HP Smart app with my printer, and saying "Ready to Print". So I tried reinstalling the app, but still have the same problem - HP Smart only shows a white screen with just HP Smart printed at the top left of the page with nothing else. I'm really disgusted with the printer and the HP Instant Ink program. Any help on this problem is appreciated. Thanks

@Jerry311, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
I understand your frustration, especially with both the printer and HP Instant Ink program. Let's go step-by-step to try and fix the issue with your HP Envy Inspire 7958e and the HP Smart app. Here are some suggestions:
1. Check for Windows Updates or App Updates
Sometimes, the issue could be related to updates for either your operating system or the HP Smart app itself.
For Windows Updates: Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update, then check for updates and install any available ones.
For HP Smart App Updates: If you’re using the Windows Store version, go to the Microsoft Store and check for updates for HP Smart.
2. Reinstall HP Smart App
Since you already tried reinstalling the app, let’s make sure the process was done correctly:
Uninstall the HP Smart app completely: Go to Settings > Apps > Apps & Features, find HP Smart, and click Uninstall.
Delete all printer data: Sometimes leftover files or settings can cause issues. If you see your printer listed in the app, remove it.
Clear the cache: Go to %localappdata% and delete any folders related to HP (for example, HP Smart).
Reinstall HP Smart: Go to the Microsoft Store or HP's official website to get the latest version of the app and reinstall it.
3. Check Printer Connection
The issue might not only be with the HP Smart app, but also the printer’s connection to your computer:
Ensure your printer is connected to your Wi-Fi or directly to your computer via USB.
Try printing a document directly from another application (e.g., Microsoft Word or PDF viewer). This will help identify if it’s an issue with the app or the printer itself.
4. Reset the Printer
If there’s an internal issue with the printer, try resetting it:
Power cycle: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power outlet for about 30 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.
Reset network settings: On your printer’s control panel, you should be able to reset network settings. Reconnect to your Wi-Fi network afterward.
5. Check Instant Ink Account
Since you mentioned you’re using HP Instant Ink, it’s important to make sure your Instant Ink subscription is active and there are no issues with the account:
Log into your HP Instant Ink account and check if there are any issues with your plan or ink status.
6. Use HP Print and Scan Doctor
Use HP Print and Scan Doctor. It can help diagnose and fix common printing issues.
