Hi @lambme,
Please find the next set of steps below.
Check Printer Firmware:
- Ensure that your printer’s firmware is up to date.
- You can check for updates through the HP Smart app or the printer’s control panel.
Verify Instant Ink Enrollment:
- Log in to your HP Instant Ink account and check if your printer is enrolled in the program.
- If there are any issues or missing information, update your account details.
Check for Error Messages:
- Look for any error messages on the printer’s control panel or in the HP Smart app that might indicate the nature of the connection problem.
Factory Reset the Printer:
- As a last resort, you may need to perform a factory reset on the printer. This will remove all settings and configurations.
- On the printer’s control panel, go to Settings > Printer Maintenance > Restore > Restore Factory Defaults.
Manual Setup for Instant Ink:
- If HP Smart continues to have issues, you might need to manually enter your Instant Ink information.
- Go to the HP Instant Ink website and follow the instructions for manual setup or verification.
If the issue persists after trying these steps, contact HP Phone Support for further assistance.
