@Coz_, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
This issue typically happens because of changes in Google's authentication system and how HP apps interact with it — especially if you're using the Scan to Cloud / Google Drive feature directly from the printer’s touchscreen.
Here’s what you can try:
✅ 1. Check Web Services
Make sure Web Services are enabled on your printer:
- On the printer’s control panel, tap HP ePrint or Web Services Setup.
- If it’s off, enable it.
- Make sure the printer is connected to the internet.
✅ 2. Use HP Connected (HP Smart or HP ePrintCenter)
Google Drive login is managed through HP Smart / HP Connected (formerly HP ePrintCenter):
- Go to HP Smart on your browser.
- Sign in with the same account you use for the printer.
- Go to “Print Anywhere” / “Connected Apps” or similar.
- Try linking Google Drive from there.
- Once linked, your printer will sync with it.
✅ 3. Firmware Update
Check if your printer is running the latest firmware:
- On the printer screen, go to Setup > Printer Maintenance > Update the Printer.
- If there's an update, install it. This may help restore Google Drive login functionality.
✅ 4. Use HP Smart App (Alternative Scan to Drive)
If login from the printer still fails, try scanning from the HP Smart app:
- Open the HP Smart app on your computer or phone.
- Select Scan > Save to > Google Drive.
- This works seamlessly and doesn’t rely on the printer's touchscreen login.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
