HP black ink not working on photosmart 5520

Not sure if this is the right place , just need help lol ,new cartridge but the black wont work , done all the usual stuff , help ,

@slaphead13, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

Make sure the protective plastic tape from the new black ink cartridge is removed before placing it in the printer.

 

Kindly perform steps 5, 10, and 9 from this document. 

 

Now, from the control panel home screen, touch the Settings icon .

Touch Tools, and then touch Print Quality Report. Check for black.
