Hi @gingermrd,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand your HP Envy 4502 is not syncing with the Dashboard, but still prints correctly. You can follow these troubleshooting steps:

Check Network Connection:

  • Ensure that your printer is connected to your wireless network. You can do this by printing a Wireless Test Report from the printer's control panel, which will help you verify the connection status.

Verify Dashboard Status:

  • Make sure that the HP Dashboard or application is running on your computer and that your computer is connected to the same network as your printer.

Update Printer Firmware:

Re-add Printer to HP Dashboard:

  • Remove the printer from the Dashboard or HP Smart app and try re-adding it. This can be done through the printer management options within the application.

Check the Computer's Firewall Settings:

  • Your computer's firewall or antivirus may block communication between the printer and the Dashboard. Temporarily disable them to check if they are the cause. If it resolves the issue, configure your firewall to allow HP applications.

    I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
