is anyone else getting billed monthly for ink and not even getting the cartridge ? we barely use our printer yet i get charged $2-4 a month for the “ ink plan “. Shouldnt i be able to buy my own ink when needed and be able to use the printer still? Seems like a good racket HP has going , curious if anyone else has this issue

Hi @Miamimatt52,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
When you sign up for an HP Instant Ink plan, you pay a monthly fee to print a defined number of pages per month. The plans are based on the number of pages that you print, not on how many ink cartridges you use. Ink cartridges are automatically shipped out when the ink cartridges are low on ink.
There is no charge for ink cartridges.
The pages which you have not printed will get accumulated as rollover pages. These rollover pages can be used for printing after you finish printing the regular pages allocated for that month.
HP monitors the ink levels only when your printer is connected to the Internet and Web Services are turned on. Hence, you need to keep the printer connected to internet to receive ink regularly before they are empty.
Replacement ink cartridges are automatically shipped when your ink cartridges have enough ink to print twice the number of pages included in your monthly plan. You do not receive replacement ink cartridges every month, but they should arrive before you run out of ink.
You may check the instant ink terms and conditions from the link: https://instantink.hpconnected.com/uk/en/terms
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
