When i first started with Instant Ink, cartridges were arriving within 3-5 days. The last shipment i received was shipped from US on March 8 and arrived March 14. Since then I have received none of several shipments that HP shows as having been shipped since March 8. I have had to buy hundreds of dollars of regular cartridges from Staples while I wait - essentially paying double because the per-page cost keeps running.

HP Customer Service have been absolutely wonderful and as helpful as they can be, but there are 2 limitations:

- they are not permitted to ship Fedex overnight

- they can't ship from within Canada - only from US - so it often gets caught in customs before Canada Post even sees the shipment.

AN organisation the size of HP should be able to maintain and ship supplies from within Canada to service its Canadian customers. Poor show HP!

I found your comments as I wait for delivery of my ink cartridges that were supposed to arrive “quickly”. These are the initial ones but I refuse to purchase from Staples as very expensive. I wish I would have known about this before I purchased an HP printer!!

Not only that, but the customer care rep on the phone suggested i keep a full set of store bought cartridges at home in case a shipment doesn't arrive. I thought was an odd comment until i experienced the problems receiving shipments that were obviously on their way but were stuck at Canada customs or some other excuse.

Since my complaint though, the shipments have been coming fast. if i were you i would ask them to send a full set of their Instant Ink cartridges to have on hand in addition to what their system is telling them to ship.
