HP office jet Pro 6968. I changed the HP instant ink color cartridges and the color does not work.  I have turned the printer off and back on and reset the ink cartridges but still does not print or copy color.

@honeypoo, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I'm afraid this seems like a hardware issue. Let u try these steps to resolve this issue:

Update the printer firmware

Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.

Check the estimated ink levels

On the printer control panel, touch the Ink Level Indicator icon . The control panel displays estimated ink levels.

Replace any low or empty cartridges.

Clean the printhead

  1. om the printer control panel, open the Setup  menu.

  2. Open the Printer Maintenance menu.

  3. If necessary, open the Tools menu, and then touch Clean Printhead.

  4. If the print quality is unacceptable, touch Clean Again to continue the next level of cleaning. If necessary, repeat these steps for the third cleaning cycle.

Also, perform step 9 mentioned in this document.

Print a Print Quality Diagnostic Page

  1. From the printer control panel, open the Setup  menu.

  2. Open the Reports or Tools menu.

  3. Touch Print Quality Report. Check for color.

As the issue is related to Instant ink cartridges, I need more information to help you out.

Since the instant ink account details are confidential, please send me the required information via private message.

I am sending you a private message with the information required.

Let me know how this goes.
