HP Officejet Pro 8610 e-All-in-One Printer

I purchased a used HP officejet Pro 8610 that worked totally fine because the person printed in front of me on it prior to disconnecting it when i bought it. it has a brand new ink cartridge she installed in it prior to demonstrating that it worked by printing,  but once i got it home and turned it on, it will not work. it says, "Cartridge cannot be used until printer is enrolled in HP instant ink." 

She had an instant ink account but cancelled it after she sold it to me. how can I get the printer to work without using an instant ink account?

I'd like to help!

 

If you do not want to enroll in the instant ink program, or canceled by someone else, you cannot use those instant ink cartridges as it will not work. 

 

And here's what you need to know & do:

 

If you have an instant ink cartridge on your printer, remove it and discard that, you can only use regular cartridges on your printer once you cancel the program.

 

That said, if you have trouble using regular cartridges, I recommend you turn off the web service using the steps from this link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c04808536

 

when done successfully, check if it works fine.
