HP OfficeJet Pro 9125e All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

I first want to address an issue with HP. If you're going to invade my privacy in my own home by monitoring my printer which I never gave you permission to do, you can take the printer back and refund my money. Second I spent 3 hours on the phone with your tech support only to find HP sent a defective cartridge. I waited for two weeks for the replacement to come unable to print the whole time. I paid for this printer HP did not give it to me and will not allow HP to dictate when and how I use it. Robert S Dias.

Action Needed

Install your Instant Ink cartridge(s).

Hi Robert,

You are currently on the 100 pages per month plan of HP Instant Ink but recently installed one or more store-bought cartridges in your HP OfficeJet Pro 9125e All-in-One Printer.

If you have HP Instant Ink subscription cartridges on hand, install them now.
HP Instant Ink can not monitor your ink levels and ship you more ink when you're running low if you have store-bought cartridges installed.

Can't find your cartridges? Here are a few things you can check:

Check the status of your recent shipments from your dashboard. Shipments may have been delivered sooner than needed, check around your workspace for an HP Instant Ink box.

Verify or update your address. View and change your address from the Overview page on your dashboard.

Request replacement cartridges. If you're unable to find your previous shipment, or your address has recently changed, contact HP Instant Ink support or use the Virtual Assistant to request replacement cartridges.

Hi @bobbydias28,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I'm really sorry for any confusion or frustration you've experienced. I completely understand your concerns, and I’d love to clarify how the Instant Ink program works to make things easier for you:

  • The Instant Ink program works like a subscription service, similar to Netflix or Prime. The monthly fee ensures you always have ink when you need it, regardless of how much you print.

  • The cartridges are tested before being shipped, but if you ever receive one that isn't working properly, we'd be happy to replace it for you at no extra cost.

  • If you find that the program isn’t the right fit for you, you always have the option to cancel and switch back to purchasing standard HP cartridges. If that’s something you'd like to do, I’d be happy to assist with the cancellation.

Of course, if you'd like to continue with Instant Ink but have any questions or need help, I’m here to support you. Just let me know how you'd like to proceed!

I never wanted a subscription however you all shut my printer down. I don't print enough and don't want HP to control my printer. This has been the reason I am thinking about going away from HP all together. Bobby D

Hi @bobbydias28,

Thank you for the response,

Unfortunately, we don't have an option to shut down your printer, it's just not possible for any manufacturer to do, that said, you may want to cancel the subscription as suggested previously and then purchase a regular cartridge from the store to use with your printer and I assure you, it'll work just fine.

Here's the link to steps on how to cancel the same: https://support.hp.com/ca-en/document/ish_3259778-1993151-16#:~:text=Pause%20your%20subscription-,Ca...

If you need any further assistance, we are right here and happy to help!
