HP DeskJet 2630 All-in-One Printer

Hi I am considering replacing my 2630 with a 4220e. I think the cartridges for both models are different, 304 for the 2630 and 305 for the 42204. I have recently received new instant ink cartridges for the 2630. Can I  return these 304s for credit   or  or replacement with 305s. How will this affect the 3 months of free ink mentioned in the sales info.

Thank you

Martin

Hi @hitbit,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I completely understand your concern about the Instant Ink cartridges and wanting to make the most of your subscription. Let me clarify how this works so you can smoothly transition to your new HP DeskJet 4220e.

Since the Instant Ink cartridges are linked to your current HP DeskJet 2630, they won’t work with your new printer. What you’ll need to do is send the 304 Instant Ink cartridges back to HP using the recycling envelope that came with them. Or you can recycle them.

Once you receive your new HP DeskJet 4220e, you can enroll it in Instant Ink. If that printer has a free ink offer included in your purchase, it will start once you activate the new printer on Instant Ink—so you’ll still be able to take advantage of that benefit!

Sharing a link that will guide you on how to replace an old printer and enroll the new printer on the HP instant ink account

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
