Hi @Cwp4,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To check the ink levels in your HP ENVY 6000 series printer cartridges, you can use several methods. Here’s how you can find out how much ink is left in your cartridges:
1. Using the HP Smart App
- Download and install the HP Smart app from the HP Smart website or your device’s app store if you haven’t already.
- Open the HP Smart app and ensure that your printer is added to the app. If not, follow the on-screen instructions to add it.
- Once your printer is added, the app will display the status of your printer, including the ink levels for each cartridge. Look for an icon or section labeled "Ink Levels" or similar.
2. Using the Printer’s Control Panel (if available)
- If your HP ENVY 6000 series printer has a display screen, navigate to the menu by pressing the appropriate buttons.
- Look for a section labeled "Ink" or "Supplies." The printer menu will display the ink levels for each cartridge.
3. Using Windows or macOS Printer Software
- On a Windows computer, go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers, right-click your HP ENVY 6000 series printer, and select Printer Properties or Preferences.
- On macOS, go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners, select your printer, and click Options & Supplies.
- In the printer properties or options, there should be a tab or section that shows the ink levels. This might be labeled "Estimated Ink Levels" or similar.
4. Using Printer’s Web Interface (for networked printers)
- On the printer’s display, navigate to the network settings to find the IP address of the printer.
- Enter the IP address into a web browser to access the printer’s web interface.
- The web interface should have a section or tab that displays the ink levels for each cartridge.
5. Check Cartridge Status via Print Job Notification
- Print a document or image from your computer.
- After the print job is sent, a status notification might pop up showing the ink levels. This depends on your printer settings and software configuration.
6. Check Printer Documentation
- Refer to the printer’s user manual or online documentation for specific instructions on how to check ink levels for your HP ENVY 6000 series printer.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
