The print quality of my latest black ink cartridge has been poor with areas of black text missing or smudged. I have used all the print quality tools on numerous occasions and have worked my way through the virtual agent troubleshooter all to no avail. I have also tried increasing the print quality to 600 x 600 which helps a bit but not completely and when I increase further to 1200 x 1200 the print out appears to run out of ink even though there is plenty in the reservoir.
It is driving me mad and all I am doing is wasting ink printing out alignment pages and print quality reports and numerous failed attempts at getting a decent quality document. I never had these problems with previous cartidges so I am concluding that this particular cartridge must be faulty.
How do I obtain a replacement instant ink cartridge under the cartridge warranty? I am based in the United Kingdom.

The document here has information on contacting HP to get replacement Instant Ink cartridges. Go to the HP Instant Ink site, the phone number (or chat option for some countries) will be listed in the lower center of the opening screen.
Alternately, you can click on the Virtual Assistant. When the assistant opens type "Where is my ink?" (w/o the quotes). The system will ask a few questions and then schedule your shipment.
I am not an employee of HP, I am a volunteer posting here on my own time.
