Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have two HP Officejet 3830 printers and have subscribed to instant ink on a single account. I am retiring one of the printers and want to remove it from instant ink.

Another post said to go to the my printer page for the printer and click Remove Printer. Doing this gave a you-must-cancel-subscription dialog. How do I do this at all?

And how do I do it without getting rid of the printer I want to keep as well?

Thanks,

Chris

Welcome to the HP User Community.

If only it were that simple...

Removing the printer from the computer's Devices and Printers does nothing to cancel the contract.

Start here

HP Instant Ink - Cancel Your HP Instant Ink Service

Assuming the contract has differentiated the two "same model" printers, the "how-to" instructions might be adequate.

That said, if there are any questions -- were it mine to do, I'd contact Instant Ink Support to get some advice.

You can also try waiting here in the Community for an agent to find and respond.

Waiting is not faster - we are not Instant Ink Support - waiting generally works.

Regardless, it can be sorted - just get all the information before you discard the printer.
