Hi. I bought and registered my HP printer in Hong Kong. Now I have moved to the UK together with the printer.  I want to register for HP Instant Ink to get my ink supplies. However, when I am registering, the website redirect me to Hong Kong region, and I can only choose Hong Kong as the delivery address.

I heard that I need to change my printer or ink cartridge location from Hong Kong to the UK in order to replace a new ink cartridge. I don’t know how to do these settings. I also want to subscribe the Instant Ink service. Could you please guide me through step by step?

Please, I really need help here. I need to print a lot of things for a project next week. If I cannot get my printer ready in time, I will have to spend a lot of money in printing my documents elsewhere.

It is so ridiculous that I cannot ask for any official support because the warranty of my printer has expired. I am not asking for repairing but asking for using your products. But now I feel ignored. It’s like HP do not welcome old customers at all.☹️

Hi Sandy, thanks for your reply. I have called the number you told me already. The CS told me that they cannot help me with this issue.

However, I found a topic in the Community that the guy had a similar problem as mine. Below is the link of the topic:

https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printer-Ink-Cartridges-Print-Quality/Change-region-Deskjet-3720-Moved-...

The HP support agent there answered that:

“Yes, we'll have to do a region reset.

To do a printer region reset you need to meet the following conditions:

1. The printer should be connected using a printer USB cable to the computer.

2. You need to have the printer full feature software installed on your computer.

3. You need to have all the cartridges from the old region/country.”

I would like to know more about this method. Firstly where to download the full feature software? I have HP Smart installed. Is it all I need?
And then what should I do?

Hi Sandy, I have done the steps you said in the pm on 2 Feb. I think the set new region window did not appear in step 3. I could do step 4 and the above is the screenshot of the screen that appeared. Could you show me what are the next steps please?

Hi Sandy, I have followed the steps you told me in the pm and got the code in the Box. However when I click OK the window gave me an error message. I have sent you another pm with the screenshots. Could you let me know what should I do next please?
