How to exchange/return defective ink cartridges with the Instant Ink Program?

I received a defective black ink cartridge via Instant Ink account. If I remove the cartridge and clean the excess or clogged ink from the outlet port I can get it to print one page, but then the error message missing or damaged cartridge returns. 

The cartridge is within the warranty date, and I have my Instant Ink account number -- what do I do to get a replacement?

HP includes a prepaid return envelope in the package with the instant ink cartridges. Simply put the empty INSTANT INK cartridges into the envelope and drop in the mail. HP pays for shipping both directions and you are being a good earth citizen by recycling!                                                                    PrepaidGiftBalance
