I bought an HP envy photo 7855 printer and it came with HP instant Ink ready HP64. Now it's time to replace and I live in Italy.  Do I need to buy HP64 ink at the store or do I buy 303 ink here in Italy at a store?

hp instant ink has told me they cannot ship overseas so I now have only local stores to get ink.

Instant Ink is available in Italy if you want to subscribe see the document here.

Alternately, if you are now in Italy you can get a Regionalization Reset.  You will need to Contact HP to request a "Regionalization Reset". There should not be any charge for this, it is covered as part of the cartridge warranty. You will need to have access to your computer and printer while on the line with HP. You will also need to have a set of cartridges for the new region, once the reset is complete cartridges from the original region will no longer work.  HP's web page on the subject is here.

The short answer is "yes".

The longer answer - If your printer originally supplied with a HP 64 cartridge it locked itself to the US/Canada HP 64 cartridges.  At this point, if you are in Italy, only the HP 303 version of the cartridges would be available from authorized HP distributors.  HP 64 cartridges are not available in Europe.

If you subscribe to the Instant Ink program (which is available in Italy) the supplied cartridges would work in either the US or Italy, they would be 64/303 cartridges compatible with either region.

The regionalization reset is available without charge, even if the printer is no longer in warranty.
