I have an officejet 8710 under instant ink. When i was on regular ink using 952XL inks, it is stated that the inks bought were pigment inks. My question is : does HP instant ink use pigment or dye based ink?

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to assist you.

 

I see that you are looking for information related to ink cartridges.

 

The black ink in most HP printers is pigmented. Most of the color inks are dye-based. The Photosmart B9180 and Officejet 8500 series use pigmented inks for color and black as do some of the large format Designjet products.
