Product: D7160

Can anyone help with ideas on what I can do with my black ink. On my hp photsmart D7160 all is working with all the colour ink but the black ink just will not print. I have tryed and tryed cleaning it up. Even put in new ink cartridges but just will not work.

I understand the printer is not printing in black. I appreciate your efforts in trying to resolve this issue by performing the necessary troubleshooting steps.

 

If you have tried the steps mentioned in this document, and the issue persists, I'm afraid this is a hardware issue with the printer. 

Note: Clean the printhead twice, make sure the plastic tape if any, is removed from the new ink cartridge before placing it in the printer.

I suggest you upgrade the printer. You may visit Hp Store to check the available printers.
