HP ENVY 6032e All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

My experience with my HP6000 series printer over the last 6 months has been an absolute nightmare. And although I'm loathe to pass this experience to another individual I need to sell this printer on before I have a HP-induced nervous breakdown! I am trying to find out how to divorce myself from this printer and to ensure all my details are expunged from HPs records but as usual the HP support is just sending me round in circles. Does anyone have any idea how I deregister the printer?

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

May I know are you enrolled to instant ink ? Are you referring to HP smart account?

Please elaborate?

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

It just states HP account when I log in but I am using the HP Smart app to control the printer and of course the printer does not work unless it's being tracked via the account. I do have instant ink but it expires in a few days. Not sure what else you want me to elaborate on.

I just want to know how I delete my myHP account. This information should be readily available on your website but I can't see it.

Hi @KateLW,

Thank you for your response, If you want to cancel the account.

If you cancel:

  • You can continue printing with Instant Ink supplies until the end of your current billing cycle.
  • At the end of the billing cycle, you must remove Instant Ink cartridges and purchase Original HP Ink or Toner directly from the retailer of your choice to continue printing. Instant Ink cartridges only work in enrolled printers.
  • Your final monthly charge comes at the end of the billing cycle.
  • The Paper Add-on service ends with your Instant Ink service.

To cancel:

  1. Sign into your account:
  2. Verify the serial number by selecting Overview, and then Printer Details in the Status area.
  3. Click HP Instant Ink, then Update Plan in the left menu.
  4. Scroll to Plan Details.
  5. Click Cancel my HP Instant Ink Subscription and then follow the prompts.

You receive an email confirmation immediately, and another at the end of the billing cycle.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
