Hi @Glenn1963June,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're having trouble transferring your printer enrollment between your HP OfficeJet 5255 printers in Canada and Mexico, there could be several reasons for this issue. Here are some potential explanations and solutions.

  1. Network Connection:

    • Ensure that both printers are connected to the same network as the computer or device you are using for the transfer.
    • Check if the network settings on both printers are correctly configured, and there are no issues with the internet connection.
  2. HP Smart App:

    • Make sure you are using the latest version of the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device.
    • Verify that the HP Smart app supports printer transfers between different geographic locations.
  3. HP Instant Ink Account:

    • Double-check that you are logged in with the correct HP Instant Ink account on both printers and on the HP Smart app.
    • Ensure that your HP Instant Ink subscription is active and not expired.
  4. Geographic Restrictions:

    • Check if there are any geographic restrictions imposed by HP Instant Ink that prevent transfers between printers located in different countries.
    • Some services may have regional limitations or requirements, so it's essential to review the terms and conditions.
  5. Regional Settings:

    • Verify that the regional settings on both printers are correctly configured to match the respective locations (Canada and Mexico).
    • Some services might use regional settings to determine eligibility for certain features.
  6. Resetting Printers:

    • As a last resort, you may try resetting both printers to their factory settings and then attempting the transfer process again. However, be cautious as this will erase all printer settings.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
