I cancelled my instant ink but still got charged on 3/22/2022. I am also unable to use previous cartridges I have from when the account was active.

I don't know when you cancelled your Instant Ink account but you will be charged 1 more time on the next billing cycle (your final bill). Once you cancelled your Instant Ink subscription the Instant Ink cartridges will become inactive. You should still buy your own HP cartridges and use them, they should work. But you need to return the Instant Ink cartridges that HP sent you back to HP.

Summary: Once you cancelled HP Instant Ink ...

Instant Ink cartridges become inactive
non-Instant Ink cartridges will work
