I cant seem to finish my enrollment in instant ink. I have set up the account and my printer shows up as the printer I want to connect but every time I go through the app it just goes back to "connnect this printer to instant ink" and "lets finish setting up HP instant ink. I did the free trial back when I purchased the printer and it has long since expired. I dont use my printer often so I tried to use cartridges I received a few years ago but I get the "cartridge cannot be used until printer is enrolled in instant ink

I see that you are facing issues with your HP Printer using instant ink cartridges wherein you get the message “Cartridge cannot be used until printer is enrolled in HP Instant Ink”.
