HP DeskJet 3630 All-in-One Printer

I had to update my payment method on instant ink and still not working. I checked hp smart and it told me to so I updated it as I forgot I had the subscription. Now I still have a frustrating envelope blinking at me. I have unplugged it and put it back in. I really need my printer to work urgently and can't speak to a real person at hp

Hi @Emmajanealex,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with your HP DeskJet 3630 printer and the HP Instant Ink service. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the problem.

  • Check Your Internet Connection: Ensure that your printer is connected to the internet, as Instant Ink relies on an internet connection to communicate with HP's servers.
  • Restart Your Printer: Turn off your printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for about 30 seconds, and then plug it back in and turn it on. This can often resolve minor connectivity issues.
  • Check Payment Information: Double-check that you've updated your payment method correctly. Log in to your HP Instant Ink account online and verify that your payment information is accurate and up to date.
  • Update the Printer Firmware: Outdated firmware can sometimes cause problems. Check if there's a firmware update available for your HP DeskJet 3630 printer on HP's official website, and if there is, follow the instructions to update it.
  • Check for Error Messages: If you're receiving any error messages on your printer's display screen, make a note of them. These messages can often provide clues as to what might be causing the issue.
  • Verify Ink Cartridges: Ensure that your printer's ink cartridges are properly installed and have enough ink to print. Sometimes, low ink levels can affect the printer's functionality.
  • Check for Paper Jams: Make sure there are no paper jams or obstructions inside the printer that might be causing the issue.
  • Reinstall Printer Software: If you're using the HP printer software on your computer, try uninstalling it and then reinstalling the latest version from the HP website.
  • Factory Reset (As a Last Resort): If all else fails and you're still experiencing problems, you might consider performing a factory reset on your printer. Be aware that this will erase all your printer's settings, so only do this as a last resort.

Remember to back up any important settings or information before performing a factory reset.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
